"A Helping Hand"
A Pullman Porter reaches to assist Lauren Bacall as she and Humphrey Bogart prepare to travel north out of Miami on the Champion, the flagship train on the Atlantic Coastline Railroad.

Like the attire of the rich and famous, the highly polished fluted stainless steel of this "Four-Star Hotel on Wheels" was opulence in motion with on-board amenities that included swimsuit modeling, nurses, barber shops, and secretaries to dictate memos.

     "Here's lookin at you kid"!

" Going Home"
"The Right Way"
During the early 1960's and before the interstate was constructed, locally owned and operated business flourished.  There was nothing like the trip down the Old Dixie Highway.  The smell of Georgia red clay and kudzu freshened the air after the rain.  The beckoning call of the neon lights advertising a hotel room with air conditioning and a color t.v. was hard to resist.
But this time was different.  A 1958 Chevy races a Central of Georgia Railroad freight train headed north to Americus,Georgia  as they outpace a vicious thunderstorm.
Known for transporting kaolin and pulpwood, the Central Georgia Railroad served industries within the state and proudly connected the people with their products.
Peanuts.  Pecans.  Kaolin.  Pulpwood...

                                               "Georgia On My Mind".

About our paintings:

Original illustrations are painted on premium stretched 100% cotton canvas in a variety of sizes depending on the composition and complexity of the subject.

Each subject matter is thoroughly researched, thus ensuring that the painting is not only technically accurate, but that the background scenes contain the correct icons which are indiginous to that particular geographical area i.e. flora, fauna, industrial, agricultural, marine, average temperature and weather conditions, etc.

West's  photorealistic technique combined with his imaginative flair gives each painting a unique character and style all of their own.

"Keys to My Heart"
A Florida East Coast train travels north over the famous arched viaduct that connects the Florida Keys with the U.S. mainland.

Tourists, natives, family and friends relax and absorb what is near and dear while exploring and enjoying the outdoors.  Tropical sunsets, abundant aquatic life with schooners in the background open the heart to a love for nature and a love for life.

"Keys To My Heart" is painted with florescent colors and lights up under a black light.

The artist's attempt was to honor Henry Flagler's  dream turned reality.
